We believe students not only needs to work with people in their perspective fields, but should also collaborate interdisciplinary with others, because through the process of collaboration, their academic and professional horizon can be broaden. For this reason, every year we set up public installation program for students of different disciplines, such as, architectural, industrial and fashion design, to work together to apply their creative approaches and idea to daily lives, and public. More importantly, through this program, they understand their abilities and weakness, which can them be improved upon later.
With community events, such as, TAIWANfest, Lunarfest, and others, students have the chance to work in group and opportunity to market themselves outside of academic setting. Learning from the peers, instructors, and real life community partners, they get the rare opportunity to showcase and sharpen your not just artistic ability, but creative management skills.
Working in group to accomplish a project, and presenting idea to public, event organizers, or museums are two core aspects of the program, which assists students to build up their leadership, public speaking skills and research ability.
